Anti-Oppressive

Fee Structure

  • What is an anti-oppressive fee structure?

The sliding scale pricing model is rooted in solidarity economics and redistributive justice. This carefully designed tiered pricing system demonstrates my commitment to social justice and aims to make therapy accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation.

It also enables me to sustain my work while promoting equitable access, solidarity, and reparative justice.

Please note that this sliding scale was inspired by:

  • Why don't you just charge one flat rate?

TODOS Therapy uses an anti-oppressive fee structure because access to support exists within an inequitable, capitalist system. Fees are designed to account for systemic barriers, privilege, and lived financial realities—rather than assuming everyone has equal access to resources.

Sliding scale pricing is an anti-oppressive practice that acknowledges economic inequality and creates space for more people—especially BIPOC, queer, disabled, and other marginalized communities—to receive the care they deserve.

This approach prioritizes equity, sustainability, and collective care, not policing or interrogating your finances.

  • Do I need to prove my income or financial situation?

No. I trust you to know your financial reality best. I don't require documentation, tax returns, or proof of hardship.

I will ask you to complete a form that helps determine the tier that not only feels comfortable but is sustainable for you. And I will talk to you about those results before our first session.

Do you accept insurance or Medicare?

I do not accept insurance or Medicare. And I do not provide superbills.

All sessions are self-pay, and payment is expected at the time of service. I’m happy to discuss payment options, packages, or any questions you have during a consultation.

  • How do the fee structure work?

This comprehensive system features five carefully structured tiers that balance practical sustainability with community needs.

Redistribution -for those with financial privilege who want to support access for others.

Full Cost - the standard session rate for therapy sessions.

Sustain - for those who can pay most of the fee but need some flexibility.

Solidarity - reduced rate for those with limited financial resources.

Reparations - for those most impacted by systemic oppression and barriers to care.
